Event dates: 05-06 June '17
Number of participants: 500
Event venue: Hotel "Crowne Plaza St.Petersburg Airport" (Saint Petersburg, Startovaya str., 6)
30 years have passed since the first reported case of HIV in our country. Today the number of people living with HIV has exceeded 824,000. Of course, much has been researched and studied for years of HIV infection combating, considerable progress has been made. But the epidemic continues to spread inexorably, changing the lives and destinies of thousands of people.
Particular concern is that the feminization of the epidemic is observed in Russia. In 2015. in our country women accounted 39% among newly diagnosed HIV-infected people. The overwhelming majority of women with HIV are of childbearing age. The feminization of the epidemic defines the continuing growth in the number of HIV-infected pregnant women and children birth, with the risk of perinatal HIV infection, which in turn, affects the demographic situation in the country as a whole.
International scientific-practical conference “Actual problems of HIV infection. Women and HIV” will be held on June 5-6, 2017 in St. Petersburg (congress-center of the Crowne Plaza St. Petersburg Airport Hotel, 6A Startovaya str.) as part of the implementation of the State strategy to counter the spread of HIV infection in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2020 and beyond with the aim of sharing experiences and knowledge between Russian and foreign experts of a wide range of related areas.
