Annually above 10 conferences covering the issues of hepatology take place in the world under the aegis of EASL. Most of them are annual and as a rule, monothematic. Next year these important events will include the fifth international conference "White nights of hepatology 2013", which will be traditionally run in Saint Petersburg in the period of White nights. This two-day forum will include a endorsed course "Using direct acting antivirals for treatment of viral hepatitis C: recent advances and future perspectives" on the first day and satellite symposiums on the second.

    EASL Endorsed Conference "WHITE NIGHTS OF HEPATOLOGY 2013" will take place in Saint Petersburg on June 6-7, 2013. This year the five conference will include the endorsed Course "Using direct acting antivirals for treatment of viral hepatitis C: recent advances and future perspectives".
    Traditionally, the leading Russian and foreign experts in hepatology will take part in the conference. Invited speakers, EASL members professor Mark Thursz (EASL General Secretary, UK), professor Markus Peck-Radosavljevic (EASL Vice-Secretary, Austria), professor Michael Manns (Germany), professor Jean-Michel Pawlotsky (France), professor Thomas Berg (Germany), professor David Back (UK), professor Tarik Asselah (France), professor Christoph Sarrazin (Germany), professor Laurent Castera (France) will consider a wide range of issues related to antiviral therapy of chronic hepatitis and its side effects.
    The speakers and guests will have an opportunity to attend a specialized exhibition at the conference.
